How long does it take to get paid for my Trade In or Sell Your Gear submission?

Payment timing for Trade In and Sell Your Gear submissions, including mailed checks for partial trade-in differences, and outright gear purchases.

We receive around 20 to 60 boxes a day, so it usually takes 1 to 2 business days to open your shipment, log it in, and have our techs inspect everything.

During colder months, guitars and basses may require one extra day to acclimate before we open the box and begin inspection.

Once everything checks out, payment typically goes out within 24 hours. Mailed checks are used when we are either paying the partial difference on a trade-in or purchasing the instrument or gear outright. Checks can take up to 10 business days to arrive, but most show up much sooner.

What if my check gets lost in the mail?

If a check goes missing, we’ll void it and send a new one after the standard wait time. Most checks arrive within 3 to 5 business days, but in rare cases, it can take up to two weeks.
